Two-color mold or two shot mold injection molding process:

Mold is a tool for the production of plastic products, which is generally composed of several groups of parts, and this combination has a molding cavity. During injection molding, the two-color mold is clamped on the injection molding machine, the molten plastic is injected into the molding cavity, and the cooling and shaping in the cavity, and then the upper and lower molds are separated, and the products are ejected from the mold cavity through the ejecting system, and the mold is closed for the next injection molding, the whole injection molding process is cyclic.

In the process of injection molding production, plastic raw materials, toner, nozzle material, mold, injection molding machine, peripheral equipment, fixture, spray, various auxiliary materials and packaging materials are used. In order to make the production and operation of the injection workshop smooth, it is necessary to manage the personnel, materials, equipment and tools involved in each link and each post, mainly including: raw material room, crushing room, batcher room, production site, post-processing area, tool room, semi-finished product area, office and other areas of operation and coordination management.

Because the mold or semi-finished product needs to be rotated, the mold design and injection molding machine requirements are more precise. In addition, due to the high variability of two-color mold injection molding, in order to achieve smooth production and meet the expected ideal, all mold design must be considered simultaneously with product design.
